Bridhe and other characters

Name: Bridhe (breeh) Taeven
Gender: Male (so he says)
Age: 19

Personality: Curious, smart, but with the common sense of a snail. Bridhe tends to blurt out whatever is on his mind, regardless of whether it it relevant, useful or even safe to say out loud. He's harmless for the most part, and is having a hard time coming to terms with the fact that, hey, he could die out here. In spite of his abilities (or maybe because of) Bridhe is very outgoing and loves talking to anyone, regardless of whether they want to talk or not.

Appearance: On the right. Bridhe is short and slightly built, but he doesn't seem to care either way. His hair is a wild mass of ginger curls that can reach epic proportions when humidity is high. He is splattered with freckles, and has a tattoo of an ouroboros on the back of his neck between his shoulders (which he doesn't remember).

Background: Bridhe was normal, working as a clerk in a convenience store to make ends meet after dropping out of college. The labs, the kidnapping, and the subsequent deposit into The Pit really hasn't sunk in yet, if he remembers it at all.

Classification: Psychic: Bridhe is an empath, which is the worst ability ever, especially in situations that involve lots of screaming and bleeding. Generally he feels the emotions, sensations, and sometimes even brief glimpses of what another person sees... Though this is strongest with his partner (because they have to be so close) anyone within arms reach of Bridhe tends to affect him. Direct touch without warning pretty much screws him over and needless to say, he doesn't like being touched. When there are too many people around he tends to get a little spastic, and in large crowds he turns into a whimpering mess.

Name: Brunhilda Adler (Deceased)
Gender: Female
Age: Unknown, looks to be mid-twenties to early-thirties though

Personality: Although Brunhilda is quiet, even in movement, she is far from stoic. She seems to exude an aura of intelligence and patience, with a hint of something darker lurking underneath. She seems unfazed by blood and gore, but doesn't necessarily seek it out, and tends to disapprove of those who do it without need or provocation. Hilda is serious almost to a fault, and though she doesn't really frown, she really doesn't smile that often either. Her other expressions are vivid and highly readable, however, mostly due to the fact that Brunhilda is mute.

Appearance: Here She has a somewhat common appearance, with tanned skin and dark, thick hair that is cropped around her chin for the sake of ease. Her eyes are almost the same color as her skin, and the rest of her face is a blur of nondescript features. If one saw her on the street she would be quickly forgotten. Upon closer inspection scars stretch over her hands and arms, and those few times she is seen without clothing there are telltale signs that she has had at least one child in the past.

Background: The only thing Brunhilda remembers is the fact that she had, at one point, a baby. Occasionally she still dreams about it, but the rest is a bitter fog. She has deduced, however, that she likely worked on a farm (sun damage on her skin, proper callousing, muscle tone, etc.) and likely lived far from a city.

Classification: Psychic. Brunhilda was born mute. She is able to communicate through telepathy and sign language, often in combination. She is also a a well-practiced telekinetic, and tends to use it as a means to escape by climbing walls, extending her jumps, and nudging her speed.

Name: Mika
Gender: Female. Definitely female.
Age: Early 20's.

Personality: Chipper, naive, and irritatingly innocent. Oh yeah, she's also shallow, a little self-centered and has the intelligence of a goldfish. However, she is amazingly fit (because fit bodies look better, duh?) and because of her limited mental capacity she seems to be able to handle "mental trauma" better than most others. Probably because she doesn't actually think about anything.

Appearance: She is here Mika is tall for a woman, standing about 5'10" with soft brown hair that goes past her hips. Most of her hair is actually extensions, and obviously cost quite a bit of money as they are made from human hair. Her real locks stop just shy of her chin, and have mousy roots when they start to grow out. Her body is curvy, to say the least, as if genetics wasted all of her "good genes" on giving her incredible breasts (which are real, believe it or not) and great hips before falling short on the brains department.

Mika can initially be found wearing expensive name-brand boots, skinny jeans and a shirt nice "fitted shirt" (a glorified baby t- with a brand name on the front). Her clothes alone cost more than some people make in three months.

Background: Mika doesn't remember or care what happened in her past, and it is questionable if she actually remembered it while actually experiencing it. It is clear that she came from a family with lots of money, and that she was spoiled before coming to The Pit. The one thing she does remember is her blackberry, which she misses dearly.

Classification: (Genetic) Mika, quite literally, glows in the dark. She's a great source of light but horrible to hide with because everyone in the world can see her lighthouse-like brilliance. She also has increased agility and speed, but such "talents" only seem to come out during extreme duress.

Partner: Destiny

Name: Jynx Leds
Gender: Male
Age: Mid to late teens

Personality: The type of quiet introvert that comes from years of being in the shadow of an extremely dominating "Alpha", Jynx takes a while to warm up to people. Shy to the point of almost being stuck up, he usually stays in the background until he gets a feel for his environment. Once he has warmed up to a person he is cheerful and smart, and loyal to the death. Unfortunately, because of certain aspects of his past he tends to avoid the spotlight and any sort of leadership roles, instead preferring to let other people take care of things. Jynx seems to have issues with people touching him, especially women. When cornered he tends to lash out, attacking in a panic before making an attempt at running away.

Appearance: Will upload a better one later. Jynx has dark olive skin and short cropped hair that is dyed powder blue. His eyes are almost black, rimmed with long lashes and almond-shaped. He constantly looks like he's in thought, and tends to look a little sad at times. His build is stocky and his height is only just a little above average. His voice still cracks and other features indicate that Jynx is still growing.

Background: Jynx seems to be able to remember his past, but refuses to speak of it at all.

Classification: Psychic. Jynx can do "memory transfers", making a person remember something regardless of whether it happened or not. It acts more like a type of hypnosis, and requires Jynx talking to a person for a certain amount of time (depending on the intricacy and the length of the "memory") with their undivided attention.

Name: Willow Leds [Deceased]
Gender: Female
Age: Mid-Twenties
Personality: Contolling, Manipulative, Willow really has nothing to do with anyone but her brother, at least until they go near said brother. She is intensely possessive and gets jealous at the drop of a hat. She is also violent, not only with those who get on her bad side, but to her brother as well. Needless to say, Willow has a highly unhealthy obsession with her brother.

Appearance: Nngh, better one sometime or another

Background: Willow's memory seems to go back even farther than Jynx's, but it is so distorted and twisted that it is hard to tell the truth from the lies. What is known that she ran away from home, taking Jynx with her and effectively disappearing with him. Whether their home was broken or not cannot be determined, but after leaving home she took on the role of "mother" for Jynx, before twisting the relationship to suit her needs as he got older. Her abuse only got worse in the Pit, where she actively sought out Jynx and partnered with him, perfectly happy in their "survive or die" situation so long as Jynx was not around any other people. It was Salim and Aaya's misfortune that she happened upon them after Jynx had been out of sight just a little too long. Thought she initially attacked Aaya (who happened to be the one talking to Jynx) it was Salim who ended up fighting her, the both of them killing each other in a bloody, brutal fashion.

Classification: Other than the inital "She's fucking bugnuts" Willow also gained the ability to tear someone apart psycologically, causing damage and pain through sheer will alone, often with only a look or a touch. She often used this ability to keep Jynx in line if she thought he was rebelling, and ultimately used it to kill Salim shortly before succumbing to the wounds he gave her.

Name: Patria Winifred Gonzales (Call her anything other than "Patria" and she'll attempt to gut you)
Gender: Female (Well, she has ovaries, anyway. Maybe.)
Age: Late-twenties, early-Thirties

Personality: On of the first things anyone notices about Patria is that she is very, very loud. This is partially due to the fact that she cannot hear out of one ear (and very little out of the other) but mostly because she seems to enjoy making lots of noise both with her mouth and with her actions. The woman is easily excitable and rather easily distracted, especially by something destructive and/or horrific. She isn't squeamish in the least, doing "dirty tasks" without so much as a flinch. This seems to contribute to the fact that she is often brutally and tactlessly honest, as Patria's brain doesn't seem to be wired for dishonesty. So, if someone asks her a question they had better be prepared, because she'll let anyone know how it's going down.

Patria is mildly retarded, but a glance at her face and head would make any semi-intelligent person come to that conclusion. Even without the damage and scarring the woman has, at most, a fifth grade education. She cannot read, not just because she doesn't think it's important but because she is extremely dyslexic. This doesn't bother the woman in the least, as she is perfectly comfortable letting someone else read anything that might come up.

On another note: It seems to be Patria's goal in life to be as offensive as possible. She really isn't prejudiced, but all of the best insults seem to be slurrs and curse words. Patria seemed to learn how to talk around truckers that were former sailors who married white trash meth-heads.

Appearance: Patria and her trusty board Patria was never a pretty woman, even without her scarring. She looks very masculine, with long, hard lines and a slightly heavy brow still apparent on the "good" side of her face. The scarred side looks like it has been crushed, burned, and even sliced in a couple places... But it is hard to tell if it all happened at once. Her cheekbone and brow bone are malformed, the right eye is missing and many of her teeth on the scarred side are missing. Patria's face seems to be somewhat paralyzed on that side, and any expressions she makes are crooked.

Part of her head is shaved, showing off some of the scars that go back onto her scalp like a trophy, while the remaining hair is hacked and cut haphazardly, as if she had taken a knife and cut out random chunks when they started to get in her face. Her hair is a light brown, streaked with gray and her hair is a washed-out brown.

Patria's scarring starts from the right side of her head, continuing almost unbroken down her arm to her hand. There are scars on her sides and legs as well, and her left hand is also marred and calloused.

Background: Patria doesn't remember anything at all about her past save her name, and even that is questionable. She doesn't seem to care, either... Quite enjoying the pit in it's entirety. The woman, literally, lives for the present and really doesn't bother with the past or future.

Classification: Patria is what she likes to call a "fire eater". Her body heals at a much faster rate and doesn't seem to be prone to infection. When exposed to fire or other extreme heat she'll burn just long enough to activate the nanos in her system, which seem to go into overdrive and heal her instantaneously. This kickstarts her senses, speed and strength for a certain length of time (depending on her exposure to flame) before her "boost" dies completely. Unfortunately this also kickstarts her metabolism, so this state is usually followed by a dramatic and unavoidable crash.
