Penn
Gender: Male
Age: Late twenties.
Personality: Penn isn’t exactly a people person—it isn’t that he hates everyone else, it’s that he’s under the impression that everyone else hates him. He’s convinced by a past he can’t remember clearly that his people issues are justified somehow. He has difficulty letting himself trust other people. Then again, his communication skills are lacking, and he barely ever talks about himself. Because of his lack of connection with other people, until he lets someone in, he will place his safety above another’s and will not hesitate very much to use them if it means he can gain something out of it. He will attach almost physically to people he does trust and care about, but still try to carry his burdens alone. Besides those he's close to, Penn is pretty much a lone wolf and avoids depending on other people, for any reason. To be frank, he doesn't really play well with others if he has no choice in the matter. Although he doesn't remember his life before the Pit, his white trash background has profound influence in his behavior.
Appearance: >hi< Very plain, not profound or very memorable at all at first glance. Penn has messy dark brown hair that usually hides his eyes and wears clothes as simple as he can find them, preferring a t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers to anything that would call attention to himself. His build is pretty regular; he stands 5’9” and is of average, maybe slightly deficient weight. What he lacks in physical strength, he makes up for in resolution.
Background: Penn doesn’t remember much at all from his past life. The few memories
he does have, he is not quite sure of: he was hated by the majority of his community
[why, he does not remember], he somehow caused the death of someone close to him
[whom, he does not remember], and immediately before finding himself in the Pit, he
killed himself [how, he does not remember].
Classification: Psychic.
Penn has the peculiar ability to transfer pain, physical or emotional, between
himself and someone else. The transfer works both ways, but in order for it to
function, he must be touching another living being’s body. Although pain itself
transfers, wounds and injuries themselves do not. If he or the other
person begins feeling new pain after the transfer, it will not transfer except
through a second touch.
At this point he doesn’t know about this ability, much less
how to control it. It’s likely he’ll end up hurting himself and other people
inadvertently before he figures out what’s going on.
