Name: Viktor Chistyakov

Personality:
Pleasant at best and polite at worst. Chistyakov is basically dedicated to being nice to everyone he meets, even if they're trying to kill him. He likes to talk about other people and help them. He doesn't like to talk about himself, and gives the definite impression that he's not in need of help from anyone.

He is a loner at heart and would be one still, but Luke's ruined that.

Background:
Chistyakov was part of the first generation experiment, and managed to hack his tick such that he could escape the partner system. He got roped into the system again upon meeting Luke.

Chistyakov won't talk about any memories from before the city, if he has any at all.

Name: Nikolai (Nazarov)
Gender: Male
Age: ~30
Personality:
Nikolai looks like a middle-aged man and acts like a wide-eyed four-year-old who wants to be friends with everything. He believes that there is good in everyone, and freely offers help to anyone who needs it. In his mind everyone is innocent until proven guilty, and Nik has yet to deem anyone unquestionably guilty.

As such, Nik has a tendency to dive headfirst into situations with rather more unscrupulous figures. Yet there appears to be some strong survival instinct at work here, because Nik has managed to survive in the city for quite a while. This points to at least a hint of self-preservation hiding somewhere behind his willful stupidity and stubborn optimism.

Nikolai Nazarov was generally regarded as highly intelligent and infamous for his workaholic habits. He was also known to be anti-social, contemptuous, and misanthropic. These traits, coupled with a tendency towards violence, made Nazarov a horribly unpleasant person to be around.

Background:
Dr Nikolai Nazarov was one of the scientists leading the Pit experiments, until disputes between him and co-workers escalated and resulted in Nazarov's death. His body was then reanimated and brought back as "Nikolai", who was dropped into the Pit presumably as some sort of control variable. How much of a hand the scientists had/have in Nikolai's current personality and actions is unknown.

Nikolai himself remembers nothing of this, although he is occasionally bothered with what he literally claims to be 'a voice in his head'.

Classification:
Genetic: heals extraordinarily quickly, and application of his blood can speed up healing of others' wounds (so long as they share the same blood type [A])

Name: Satero e Ankhar
Gender: Male
Age: 34
Personality:
Completely insane. Suffers instability induced from both the destruction of his tick and his own memories. Channels his mental agony through physical brutality. However, Satero's actions are inconsistent; although they can usually be predicted to be violent, he is occasionally inclined towards unprompted mercy and random acts of kindness (to his own bemusement). These strange moments aside, Satero is essentially all undirected fury. The only thing that placates him is rampant destruction.

In between his bouts of violence Satero wanders around in a perpetually disoriented state. He is suspicious and hostile towards everything, but often too distracted by his own thoughts and fears to notice any real dangers until they strike.

Background:
Part of the first generation dropped into the Pit. His partner was one Corosa Nyem, whom Satero grew unhealthily attached to, until their relationship degenerated and became abusive and controlling on Satero's part. Corosa began seeking a way to bypass the partner system in order to escape. Upon discovering this, Satero's abusive behavior only grew worse and he began exhibiting the first signs of his later insanity. Eventually Satero's degenerating rationality led him to drown his partner in the western sea. This led to the activation of the tick's detrimental effects, which drove Satero to attempt respite by ripping his tick out.

He has been allowed by the overseeing scientists to wander the city alone, attacking and killing at will. Possibly another control variable.

Name: Jordan Sinclair ("Sarky")
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Personality:
Sarky basically wants to die. He sees no point in living and is convinced that every minute of his waking life is misery heaped upon misery and he can't see how his existence could possibly be of any benefit to the world at large. This depression is noticeable in his outwards personality, this time filtered through a surly attitude.

When he's not busy being a useless pile of unhappiness, Sarky is surprisingly capable. He doesn't talk about his more depressing and suicidally-inclined thoughts. He has a calm and rational approach to all problems (except his own). And because he doesn't think much of himself, he's willing to sacrifice anything he has for someone else's sake.

Background:
Sarky only recalls bits and pieces of his life before the city, something about a brother and something about being depressed even before he wound up here. He likes to pretend that he's not bothered about this memory loss, the keyword here being 'pretend'.

Genetic: Sarky is a carnivorous humanoid. As far as he knows, he's been one since birth.

Name: Rievin Theçon (Wraith)
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Personality:
Wraith tries very hard to be someone worthy of respect, someone a little bigger than life. He wants to be dark and silent and enigmatic. But every time he tries, he winds up reverting to the only thing he is: social, extroverted, and cheerful. It's in Wraith's nature to be friendly and he can't hold that back.

He dreams of freedom, open sky, and worlds unexplored. He'd like to say he's unafraid of death, though he knows that's not true. But more than that, he's afraid of dying with regrets. If he's not able to pause and say these are the happiest days of my life then something is terribly wrong in his world.

Wraith flat-out refuses to murder. He believes that no one has the authority to decide whether or not someone else has the right to live. That decision is up to some higher power which he has no name for. Unfortunately, this also means he is obligated to be against medicine for the same reason, although his inherent humanity and kindness mostly overrides this belief. As a compromise, Wraith will gladly allow and even seek out medical help for others, but tends to hide his own injuries and avoid treatment as much as possible.

Appearance: [link] - wears a poncho and a broad-brim hat that he loses on a monthly basis, such that he's on the constant look-out for backup hats.

Background:
Wraith has been on the move all his life; he ignores borders or boundaries and believes that all the world is open to everyone. It's just a matter of surviving. As for income, he worked odd jobs and did anything that paid. Mostly, he worked as a bounty hunter.

He recalls all of his life except for how he arrived in the Pit. It's now his personal goal to get that memory back, out of curiosity more than anything. Wraith is also a little bit worried because he left a boyfriend behind with the promise that he'd return in a couple of years, and he'd hate to think that the apocalypse came and went without him ever fulfilling that promise.

Classification:
Psychic - Visualizations. Wraith can call up images out of his own head and project them into reality, but they're insubstantial and only good for show.
