Name: Jez Ashford
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Personality: Conserved and paranoid, Jez usually sits off to the sidelines of social interactions, lurking in the corner like a sickly shadow. If forced to interact, he is revealed to be one of those extreme, pragmatic, pessimists that can only sprout from ruined romantics. He is extremely unsure of himself and usually deflects any good intentions or compliments aimed at him. His tends toward strong, spontaneous emotional outbursts at odd times. He is only dangerous when he gets angry, quite likely to beat someone's head in with a lead pipe before regaining his sense, and it usually has a strong physical backlash once the adrenaline dies down. Otherwise he tends to be extremely meek and a bit of a morose scardy-cat.
Appearance: Sketchiness.... Unhealthily thin and pale, with pale skin and black hair cut short on one side and allowed to flop around longer on the other. His eyes are blue, and the white is stained red around the edges. Usually some dry blood is crusted around the edges of his eyes, ears and mouth. Is quite lanky and has a slight hunch.
Background: Jez was a completely normal high school boy. He was from a slightly below middle class family and betting on a track scholarship to get him a college scholarship. His memories of the past are fragmented now, but span bits and pieces of his life so he knows generally who he was. He has no memory of how he got to the Pit, or any idea why his once athletic body is now in terrible shambles.

Jez woke up extremely weak and sickly. He tires out after a few seconds of running and suffers constant joint pain that makes all his movements slow. Pretty much any slight trauma makes him start coughing up blood violently. If he goes too long without food/water or anything else that would general but large stress on a regular body, he starts bleeding from his orifices. Since Jez was extremely healthy before waking up it's assumed to be some sort of purposeful alteration, but whether it is genetic, magical, pathological, or somehow natural is not known.

Name: Serephina Lynch
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Personality: Impish and solitary, Serephina seems to take danger and risk as nothing more than a trivial game. She deems herself invincible and most others beneath her. She's fond of playing tricks and stealing from others because of this, and absolutely adores rubbing it in their faces once she gets away. She loves freedom and pays little heed to any morals beside those that keep her free. She rarely takes off her mask and prefers to remain an enigma to as many people as possible.
Appearance: This, except without the ridiculous sleeves and heels, regular boots. >.<
Background: Before she came to the Pit, Serephina was a member of a mask-wearing gang, but all she remembers of thiss is being married to her mask and bits and pieces of running free in the city. She was literally a free runner, great at scaling all sorts of things. She was one of the first generation experiments, and she did not like her new position of being chained to another person one bit. Her and her partner did not especially get along, he was rather upstanding and noble while she preferred going to steal food and supplies from others instead of working for them herself. Her partner had an unfortunate run in with a couple dogs and Serephina thought she was free until her tick started killing her. She managed to get it to slow down its poision injection, but was no genius and that was all she could do. She eventually ended up bonding again, but quickly discovered just who knew how to separate partners. She still has to occasionally partner up, but savors her freedom as long as possible.
Classification: Genetic - Increased agility and flexibility. Serephina now has inhuman agility and flexibility, able to twist and make maneuvers in ways that seem impossible for the human body to do without dislocating things, breaking bones, and generally defying the laws of physics.
Partner: None really, occasionally bonds and then separates with Niks

Name: Cyrus Aldric
Gender: Male
Age: 50 physically, 16 mentally
Personality: Cyrus is cynical and pessimistic, pretty much believing the worst in people and events. He always judges people on first impressions and outward appearance, and it usually takes a long time to change these first opinions as he doesn't really believe in redemption or deeper goodness. He usually looks for excuses to insult or hit people. He acts immature, readily having temper tantrums and whining without caring about how he appears. He talks a big game but is really a coward. This is somewhat counteracted by his pure determination (read: blind stubbornness...) He is so stubborn in fact, that he refuses to acknowledge that he needs help from others or any special treatment because he's blind. He claims he doesn't like getting pitied just because he's blind, but of course, he's also a hypocrite and will play the blind pity card if it's to his advantage. He also walks around without hesitation as if he can see, which throws off people for about ten seconds until he walks into a pole.

Background: Cyrus is a first gen experiment. He came to the pit as a wide eyed optimist but after dealing with his "enhancements" living in the pit, and having several partners (including one very close) die on him, he's devolved into the grumpy old man he is today.
Classification: Genetic
Cyrus had his eyes removed and upon waking up found himself to be thirty years older than he was before entering the pit. This made him blind and old. The more intense of his alterations was a particular brand of spider/worm/demonic parasites that took up resident in his stomach. This has several effects, one is terrible stomach problems that include constant stomach pain, puking frequently, and blood in his puke and spit. Also, he is extremely skinny; the little parasites eat a lot of food that's supposed to go to him. The one advantage is when Cyrus is emotionally charged and pukes, he tends to puke up one of his nasty little parasites. They grow from their small size once leaving his mouth, ranging from the size of a large cat to that of a rhino (although it is quite rare that they approach that large.) The good news is that they like to attack things other than Cyrus before they attack him, acting as a way to attack/defend against the monsters in the pit. The bad news is that once they run out of people who aren't Cyrus they turn to him.

Name: Robert Dahl (Can be called either Rob or Bob)
Gender: Male
Age: 32
Personality: Bob is laid back, but energetic. He is a strong believer in alternative medicine which has lead him to slight supernatural superstitions. He is a SOFT Buddhist; he more generally believes in the principles but is too busy enjoying life to have much discipline in them. That's another big factor in his personality, enjoyment. He knows life is there to enjoy, which has lead to all sorts of hobbies like mountain climbing and surfing, lots of surfing. He has issues with impulse control when it comes to consumption, which means he has trouble resisting the urge to use stuff up, drink, and eat things that are yummy. He, for instance, believes quite a bit in the theory and ethical beliefs behind vegetarianism, but he also believes very strongly that meat is tasty. He is very jolly and cheerful though, and tends to be able to stand other people that would not be tolerated by many. He has a bit of a maternal instinct and doesn't like seeing suffering to the point where he is a pacifist, and not just when it's convenient. Oh, and Bob is gay. He is not flamboyant (okay maybe those shirts) and doesn't push it on people but he is very definitely gay and usually hopeful when he sees hot naked men (he will massage them for free <3)
Appearance: Bob stands at about 5'8" and is stoutly built with long blond hair and a slight tan that refuses to fade.
Background: Since waking up at the pit, Bob seems to have lost most of his childhood and adolescence, and pick up his life around his late teenage years. Coincidentally, the first memory he ever had was him coming out of the closet to his father, which sparked a rather heated argument, and ended in Bob being disowned and going to school for massage therapy. He was surprisingly good and he was surprised that he really loved doing it. He's worked at various places since securing his skills and in recent years has actually been working at several very fancy places. Then he woke up in the pit.
Classification: Psychic - Biokinesis (Massage therapy)
Bob can add his mental energies to a massage he gives, and they stimulate the tissues of the receiver of said massage. This means he can instantly remove knots in muscles and relieve pain faster than even a regular massage can, including deep seeded or chronic pain. The more energy he puts in, the better the results, but usually the more painful the massage process. This extends to more than just muscle pain however, and Bob can actually speed up the healing of cuts, bruises, even broken bones with his powers. In extreme situations the stimulation can leave temporary effects of enhanced muscle strength and coordination.

Name: Richard Paige, but goes by his last name Paige
Gender: Male
Age: 34
Personality: Paige is cheerful, sometimes annoyingly so. He seems at first glance rather clumsy and idiotic, not very aware of the feelings of others, but if one gets to know him, you realize that he is quite intelligent, savvy, and practically minded under the facade of a goofball. He tends to not let his emotions show, capable of a showman's smile at any time. He's relaxed under pressure and a quick thinker, really he's quite a pleasant guy except for his one drawback, his libido. To put it simply, Paige is a pervert. He is harmless for the most part, simply taking peeks when he's not supposed to and being overly forward and not very subtle with any ladies he meets. He is however, very annoying for his pure persistence in the matter.

Background: Paige is one of the unlucky folks that has forgotten most everything about his life, where his memory is intact it's mostly drunken blurs that have him wondering exactly what he did and why his memory gaps seem to only skip over his intoxicated states. He is sure his last name is Paige, slightly less sure that his first name is Richard, and is much more comfortable going by his last name for that very reason. One thing that seems odd is that he seems incredibly capable and very good at surviving, which is strange for a man who remembers nothing but city life and parties...
Classification: Psychic - Clairvoyance
Paige can for all intents and purposes "hijack" another persons senses and see, feel, hear, touch and taste everything they can, although he can limit this to less senses if he so desires. He can only hijack the senses of someone he has touched before, hi bare skin directly against part of their body body, doesn't have to be skin, could be hair or blood too. Generally, large sensory stimulation on his end can forcibly break the connection. Certain psychics may be able to detect his presence, and even evict him from their mind.

Name: Sanders Williams
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Personality: Inside, Sanders is strong willed, compulsive, loud, and has a bit of a sailor's mouth. However, he has a chip inside his head which has altered his behavior entirely. The first and most important, albeit perhaps not the most obvious thing, is that Sanders is irresistibly compelled to follow every order that may be directed at him. If an order does not have a clear intended target, and even if it may not be intended as an order, if Sanders hears it and perceives it as a potential order, he must obey it. Unfortunately for him, since he is very on guard about orders, that means he can pick up on tiny little ones that might otherwise be overlooked because he's looking to avoid them, achieving the opposite effect. In addition, nearly all emotional responses have been eliminated. Basically, Sanders speaks in monotone and appears to be an emotionless robot, having a neutral, unblinking expression regardless of his internal feelings or what inflections or reactions one might expect him to have. Finally, Sanders if very polite. What he says is filtered for both profanity and politeness, leaving him very vanilla in his opinions, very affirmative, and formal and rarely disapproving.
Appearance: Sanders has long blond hair that is usually held back in a loose ponytail by a scarp piece of black ribbon he found. He is quite tall, standing at about 6'3" and is actually quite toned muscularly in his legs and abs. His face is rather soft and young looking, though made eerie by the mechanical eyes that rest in his sockets and the faint traces of wires that can be seen under his skin around his eyes (and one wire each eye that isn't under the skin...) His mechanical arms appear very much like stainless steel, and start at regular arm width at the shoulder, and get wider ending in a rounded, paw like hand. Each hand has five, huge, vicious, long claws instead of fingers. They have large movement capabilities at the base of each claw, but the claws themselves do not bend like fingers and so Sanders is actually quite clumsy with them. Each hand also has a large area on what would be the palm that is domed up. A few wires can be seen running through it but its function is unknown.
Background: Sanders remembers everything, his life, the world outside the pit, even the scientists and experimentation that went on. However, he has been ordered to never reveal any of it under any circumstance and pretend he has complete amnesia, so the fact that he can remember is moot.
Classification: Mechanical
Sanders has had robotic enhancements integrated with his body. He now has two mechanical arms that end in vicious claws that can cut through flesh and steel alike. The arms are tentacle like in the fact that their construction allows them to bend at any point in any direction. They can also extend, their shortest length reaching mid calf on sanders (with his longest claw going down to about his ankle) and at it's longest length can stretch about ten feet from Sanders' shoulders. In addition, his eyes have been replaced with mechanical ones which provide him a variety of different visual settings including: regular human eyesight, infa-red, night vision, telescopic vision, telescopic vision, motion tracking, and one setting where he can read bio-readouts on others in the pit (he is actually connecting to the tick's readings.) Additionally, he's had a behavior altering chip implanted with his brain which drastically alters his behavior externally (see personality) while internally, his original thoughts and personality remain intact.
