Name: Mikhail
Gender: Male
Age: Early to mid 20's

Personality: Distant and harshly honest at best and cold and unforgiving at worst, Mikhail probably isn’t going to rank among the friendliest of people to come across. This suits him fine as he is a loner by nature, and usually quite capable of looking after himself. He prefers to stay as independent as possible, as he has little regard for any rules but his own. He does have morals he abides by, but they are only what he has chosen for himself, since he is much too stubborn and values his freedom too highly to have others’ opinions forced on him. Notoriously difficult to read, as he is usually aloof and talks as little as he can get away with, but when Mikhail does talk, he is honest to a fault. He may evade a question, but he can never be bothered to lie outright. Though it is usually difficult to tell what kind of mood he is in, he is somewhat fickle and both his moods and opinions shift often without any warning at all. He is not as entirely apathetic as he seems, and in the even that he does feel strongly about something, whether such feelings are positive or negative, they can persist indefinitely. As an aside, he has somewhat of a fixation on time, and despite the fact that he always knows what time it is without having to think about it, he loves watches and clocks and tends to hoard them.

Appearance: TOTALLY HIM RIGHT HERE THANK YOU AMANDA! ...ok well not exactly but it’s close ok. He has dark red hair of fairly normal length, with very light, purple tinted eyes and pale skin. He’s just a bit above average in height, and has a somewhat lanky build. He does have a scarf but his clothes are probably not that colorful.

Background: Like everyone, he remembers very little about who he was or where he came from. His only prominent memories are of snow and someplace very cold, and someone with blond hair he believes he cared about. Aside from that, his memory is blank.

Name: Aleksei
Gender: Male
Age: 17, though he looks and acts younger

Personality: In line with many of the people in the Pit, Aleksei has more than his share of psychological problems. Others may initially perceive him as simply being nice, but it actually runs a lot deeper than that. While he was always highly sensitive to the moods of others, this has been heightened by the experiments done on him into actual psychic empathy, allowing him to read the emotions of others unless they are intentionally hidden from him. Although he knows who an emotion originates from, he seems unable to distinguish between his pain and that of another (in fact, the latter seems far worse to him), and will do absolutely anything (short of physically harming another person) to try to make the other person happy. He does have a conscience, but it takes a secondary position to whatever other people want him to do, no matter how distasteful, demeaning, painful, or shameful he might find it.

Aleksei is also almost completely helpless, and cannot stand being alone for more than a short time. He is co-dependent, needing the constant protection of someone else, and allowing that person to control his life entirely. While he tends to come off as innocent and cheerful, he does this intentionally, though subconsciously, to endear himself to others and to forgo the risk of making anyone unhappy. Though he doesn’t enjoy lying, he always says whatever he thinks someone wants to hear instead of what he really feels, and there will be no end to his apologizing if he ever gets something wrong. The only emotions he has difficulty making sense of are his own, and he often finds it difficult to tell whether he is happy or not. This is probably because he so rarely is happy on his own, instead of feeling it through someone else, that he is not sure what it should be like.

Appearance: Aleksei is short for his age, but doesn’t give off the impression of being short so much as being young, since his body looks proportionally underdeveloped due to malnourishment and the fact that he is nearly always sick or injured in someway. He has blond hair that nearly reaches his shoulders, an average, though light, skin tone, and dark brown eyes.

Background: Aleksei remembers very little about his past, and when he does try to think about it he gets the impression he would rather not remember. He does have one memory of someone nearly killing him, although it’s very vague and he is unsure whether or not it really happened.

Name: (Joseph) Scarborough
Gender: Male
Age: Probably around 40, but he doesn't remember or care

Personality: Highly intelligent, suave, and charismatic when he wants to be, Scarborough seems very rational…for an insane person. While his train of thought is discernable and most of what he does seems logical within the confines of his own mind’s workings, it’s clear his brand of ‘logic’ is not something the rest of the world would find acceptable. He is aware of his insanity, or at least, the fact that the world labels him as such. He just thinks he is right, and doesn’t care about anyone else’s opinion, since he sees all others as below him anyway. Scarborough thinks he is the only one who sees ‘the big picture’, and once he decides something needs to be done, he will go to any length to fulfill his goal and cares not at all about what happens to the people who get in his way.

If there is one thing Scarborough really enjoys, it is killing things. Due to his genetic enhancement, he can now smell fear, and though he doesn’t know why, he loves eliciting that reaction from people…usually just before killing them. He believes that this, along with his genetic alterations, make him more of a monster than a human, but he accepts this and it doesn’t bother him in the least. He views it as an excuse to forsake morality and do whatever he wants to. If his fate is to be a monster, then why fight it?

Appearance: Tall and fairly well built, Scarborough has straw colored hair a little on the long side, probably because he doesn’t care enough to cut it.
