Age: Late twenties, or thereabouts.

Personality:
Athan seems to be more or less unaware of his immediate surroundings--the unpleasant bits, at least. Heedless, oblivious, impetuous: whatever it is, it means he scrapes by within a hair's width of death with spectacular frequency, and almost always thanks to the timely and completely unguaranteed interference of others. This is quite possibly deliberate.
Extraordinarily flippant. Intensely glib. An irritant. Occasionally manages to be charming anyway.
(His loquacity and ability [/tendency] to avoid unpleasant subjects manage to at least temporarily obscure the fact that he is completely amoral, slightly masochistic, extremely unhappy, and terrified.)

Background: WOKE UP IN THE PIT FEELIN LIKE P DIDDY
Doesn't remember a whit about life pre-Pit. Survival thus far has been entirely serendipitous in nature. All he's sure of is that his fingers are itching for a gun, though he doesn't know that he ever knew how to fire one.

Classification:
Normal (?) Seems to emerge unscathed from the most scathing of circumstances, but there's always luck to be accounted for.

Name: Tiber Lossky

Gender: Male.

Age: 35, for all practical purposes.

Personality:
Cheerless and morose, but not actually a pessimist. Hates to give up on anything. Tends to latch onto others rather than take the leadership position, but if he gets frustrated enough (he is a master of frustration) he will just flip a table and take things into his own highly incapable hands. Not the best problem-solver; generally goes for brute force attacks [of this sort, not like...punching] on his problems. Takes everything very seriously. He is guileless and unaffected in his actions and the way he presents himself, and assumes everyone else is, too: when this is not the case, he is slightly bewildered. Tiber's naive regarding people, and trusts too readily.

Background:
He knows the basics of who he is, but beyond that recalls nothing and finds this very distressing. He's a doctor--or at least he's fairly sure he is. Was. Something like that. Can't actually remember a single damn procedure, and if he tries too hard it makes his head feel like it'll split in two. Fuckin' useless.
Aside from that, he has the distinct feeling that there's someone he ought to be looking for.
